Volocopter conducted South Korea’s first public air taxi test flight

Volocopter has completed the first crewed public test flight in Seoul, South Korea.

The test flight was part of the Republic’s Minister for Land, Infrastructure, and Transport’s (MoLIT) UAM demonstration event. The company’s 2X aircraft completed a 5 minutes long flight at Gimpo International Airport and reached a maximum altitude of 50 meters and maximum speeds of 45 km/h.

This flight has contributed to the UAM plan of South Korea’s MoLIT to achieve the commercialisation of UAM services by 2025.
