Vertical Aerospace and Heathrow Airport partner to explore eVTOL flights at the airport

| |

Vertical Aerospace has partnered with Heathrow Airport to examine how Vertical Aerospace’s electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicle could operate from the airport.

Vertical’s VA-X4 eVTOL vehicle would operate from Heathrow to the City of London. The VA-X4 could transport up to four passengers under 12 minutes. Since the vehicle is powered by carbon-free batteries, it could significantly reduce carbon emission in the area.

The two partners aim to launch the eVTOL service by the mid-2020s.
