South Korea develops autonomous UAV navigation technology to avoid hazards while flying

| | ,

South Korea has developed a technology that allows drones to autonomously avoid external threats and obstacles in the sky, reports urbanairmobilitynews.com.

Most Unmanned Aerial Vehicles have no problem reaching their destination autonomously, but it is hard for them to detect and avoid hazards, for example, buildings and large trees.

The new technology can be used in many sectors including aerial mobility for transportation such as air passenger taxis.
