| |

New research of SkyWatch, which examined data of numerous drone companies and individuals, reveals the drone trends for 2021.

DJI is losing its total market share across commercial drones

DJI is still the leading drone manufacturer, but since 2017, the company has lost 7% of its total market share. New companies like Autel and Skydio are challenging the hegemony of DJI.

The cost of drones is increasing

The price of drones and drone equipments has risen significantly since 2018: the current average price of a consumer drone is $2903, which is 22% higher than in 2018.

The diversification of the market share and the rise in the price of drones shows the maturation of the industry.
