Canada’s air navigation service provider, NAV Canada haunched NAV Drone this week.

The app, which will support drone pilots the safe and legal operation of drones in Canada, is available in a web version and on Apple and Google play app stores.

NAV Drone has an intuitive user interface that allows users to:

  • gain awareness to better understand Canada’s airspace;
  • visualize where basic and advanced drone pilots can fly;
  • create an operation, update and manage drone flights; and
  • obtain automatic authorizations from Nav Canada when approved to fly.

This system can make the process of flight authorization easier and faster for drone operators.
