France aims to protect its national parks from drones

| |

Drones can be used for nature conservation; however, the misuse of drones and the violation of regulations can cause significant harm to nature. For example, in June more than 3000 elegant terns abandoned their nests due to an illegal drone crash.

Hence, to protect wildlife from the disturbance of drones, drone operations were made illegal in the national parks of France. To protect wildlife, authorities educate uninformed pilots about the regulations of the national parks and fine the violators.

By taking extra measures against illegal drone flights, authorities across the globe hope to protect wildlife more effectively.
