FAA creates committee to establish rules for routine BVLOS operations

The Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) announced, that it will set up a new committee to establish rules for routine beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) drone operations.

The first rule proposals for routine BVLOS operations are expected by the end of 2021. Enabling routine BVLOS drone operations could significantly contribute to the development of the drone industry, since it would allow the faster authorization of drone operations.
