The California-based company raised $250 million dollars to execute further drone deliveries on the African continent.

Zipline has partnered with Rwanda in 2016, and recently, with the Cross River State in Nigeria as well, to deliver medical supplies by drones. Besides other medical supplies, the company has delivered more than 2 million Covid-19 vaccines to remote areas in Africa.

With the new funding, the company aims to expand its medical drone delivery operations in Africa.
