The University of Sydney has secured AUD 8 million funding from the Cooperative Research Centres Project (CRC-P). The funding will be used for three different projects, including the development of the Vertiia medical electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
The Vertiia eVTOL will provide a rapid response air ambulance and low-cost passenger transport. As part of the project, researchers will aim to reduce the noise and lower the costs of the aircraft.
