The students of the Technical University of Munich develop a medical drone

58 Bachelor and Masters students at the Technical University of Munich (Technische Universität München) are developing a medical, life-saving drone.

The creator of the project, Balázs Nagy, explained that the Frankenstein drone will carry a 500g heavy defibrillator, but the drone will be able to transport blood and medicine as well in the future.

Each year, approximately 75 000 people experience sudden cardiac arrest in Germany and 90% of them do not survive. The Frankenstein drone would enable the fast transportation of the defibrillator to the scene of emergency, and it would help to significantly decrease the number of deaths caused by sudden cardiac arrest.
