The Austrian Red Cross tested the delivery of blood via drone.

In Austria, every 90 seconds a person needs blood supply. Currently, these blood supplies are delivered by car. To save time and potentially save more lives, the Red Cross in Austria tested the delivery of blood bags via a drone, using the platform of Thales.

The drone deliveries were successful and might serve as a ground for further tests and the wider use of drones for medical deliveries.
