Police rescued an elderly man with the help of drone in Wales

The 82 year old Roy Giblin went missing on the 8th of June after heading out for an evening walk in Abergele, North Wales.

The police used boats, helicopters and a drone to search for Giblin. Eventually, 18 hours after his disappearance, local authorities located and rescued the elderly man with the help of a Matrice 300 RTK.

The drone was essential for the searching operations as Giblin’s daughter, Lauren Delaney noted in reports: “Without that drone, he didn’t stand a chance”. The Abergele police invested in a Matrice 300 RTK in April and since then they used it for more than 250 successful operations.
