MissionGO demonstrated medical blood transportation via drone

MissionGO in partnership with The Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland has successfully demonstrated the transportation of blood via drone.

Drone transportation showed an approximately 292 percent time improvement over ground transportation. Fast delivery is crucial when delivering blood. However, traffic and geographical limitations can hinder ground delivery. Travelling at approximately 80 km/h over a 60-minute period, the drone completed four total blood delivery shipments, demonstrating that a better method is possible.

This was not the first trial to deliver blood via drones: the Royal Navy started the testing UAVs for blood deliveries last month. Delivering blood via drone can make deliveries faster and potentially save more lives.
