Italy’s Lazio region will establish a medical drone transportation infrastructure

| |

Italy’s Lazio region aims to transport medical supplies via drone. Hence, the region’s president, Nicola Zingaretti has signed a memorandum of understanding with the president of ENAC, Pierluigi Di Palma to work together over the next three years.

The partners will study the regulatory environment, both aeronautical and urban, operational and technical, and analyse potential routes for drone deliveries.

The region’s administration will start the collaboration in 2023, and Nicola Zingaretti hopes that the drone transportation of plasma, medical supplies and organs will be possible in the region in the next few years.
