Volocopter’s VoloDrone completed its first public flight

Volocopter’s heavy-lift drone, the VoloDrone, completed its first public flight at the ITS World Congress in Hamburg.

The drone completed a three-minute test flight and reached a maximum altitude of 22 meters. The VoloDrone itself has a 600 kg maximum take-off weight. The company aims to make the drone fully autonomous in the future and will develop the necessary infrastructure in the next 2-3 years.
