Volansi drone completed two successful emergency supply flights to remote Ocracoke Island

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) in partnership with Volansi has successfully completed two trial flights delivering goods from Hatteras to Ocracoke Island, in North Carolina, US.

The Ocracoke Island has around 700 residents and can be reached by boat. However, extreme weather makes it difficult to deliver supplies to locals. Hence, Volansi has successfully tested its C-10 drone to deliver a 2kg heavy payload to the residents of the island.

In the case of bad weather conditions, the drones of Volansi could help to deliver critical emergency supplies to the island, including survival kits and space blankets.
