Slovenian post tested drone delivery

| |

Pošta Slovenije, Slovenia’s national postal agency, successfully delivered a parcel to the Vršič mountain pass using ElevonX’s drone.

A video of the test delivery:

Currently, the Slovenian regulations prohibit beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) drone operations. The Slovenian post aims to be involved in the process of drafting BVLOS regulations, enabling more parcel deliveries by drones.

According to the officials of Pošta Slovenije, postal drone delivery could reduce pollution, make deliveries faster and help optimising logistics routes.
