Skyports has received self-authorisation approval for beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations in Ireland. The approval was obtained from the Irish Aviation Authority.

This is the first such certificate issued by an EU regulator. The certificate can open the potential European market for Skyports to conduct BVLOS drone deliveries in the region.

The company aims to expand its drone delivery services in the medical, maritime and logistics sectors in the European region in the future.
