The company aims to launch its aerial ridesharing service in 2024. To establish takeoff and landing sites for its drone taxi services, Joby Aviation has partnered with two American infrastructure companies, REEF Technology and Neighborhood Property Group (NPG).

According to the company’s press release, REEF is the largest parking garage operator in the US and has more than 5000 sites in North America and Europe.

From the rooftops of the parking garages, Joby Aviation could reach 70% of the US public with its air taxi service. The company will focus initially on Los Angeles, Miami, and the New York and San Francisco Bay Area metropolitan areas.
