India trials the drone delivery of food, medicine and general products

| | ,

Restaurant, health and grocery delivery companies will soon start to deliver goods using drones.

The government is allowing 20 groups including Swiggy, Dunzo and SpiceJet, to carry out trials Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS).

Once these trials have proven successful, drones can then be deployed for delivering Covid vaccines, medicines and food.

Using drones to deliver such products could make the delivery faster. Fast delivery is especially important when delivering medicine, since it can help save more lives.
