German zoo finds missing red panda with the help of a drone

The red panda of Duisburg Zoo, Jang, went missing on last Thursday.

With the help of the Duisburg Police Department, the zoo deployed a DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise drone with a thermal camera and found the missing red panda in a tree crown. Jang was rescued and returned to his enclosure.

Currently only around 2500 red pandas live in the wild, and due to the rising number of poaching the animal is endangered.
