Drones are helping Brazil’s reforestation project

| |

The Arboreto Project, a reforestation project, was launched to fight deforestation in Brazil.

Brazil has the world’s second-largest forest area and pledged to stop and reverse deforestation by 2030. To support reforestation efforts, XAG agricultural drones are used to speed up and increase the effectiveness of tree-planting as part of the Arboreto Project. The project was launched on the Federal University of ParanĂ¡.

The XAG drones will be used in areas that are difficult to access and will evenly distribute native tree seeds. The researchers hope that reforestation efforts will be more effective with the help of drones.
